The first production process is to insulate the wire conductors with PVC, PVC-nylon, XLPE and various other specialized materials. Good insulation is a key to making high quality instrument cable. Dekoron focuses on thoroughly training extruder operators, developing reliable processes in conjunction with material and equipment supplier and robust preventative maintenance on both mechanical and control systems. All extruders are configured to run standard PVC products and various special materials. Operators carry out in process inspection backed up by sample testing by QA personnel including tensile, elongation and deformation of insulating compounds, conductor resistance and dimensional verification testing.
